Yellowstone Spring Tour #1

I’ve just returned from the first of two photo  tours to Yellowstone National Park I’m leading this spring.  I leave again later today for the 2nd tour which starts Sunday.  It was a cool wet week but I find that better for wildlife viewing than warm sunny days.   We had plenty of great photo opportunities during the week.  I felt that the grizzly bears were not as visible as in past springs but the black bears were out in force with lots of sow with spring cubs around.   We also had a great red fox den that offered splendid viewing and excellent photography.  While waiting at the fox den for some action,  lots of other interesting subjects would show up.  We had a chance to photograph  various birds, deer, bighorn sheep, badgers, ravens and others.   I’ll post a few images from the week and then I need to get ready to head out again….
