Spend 8 unforgettable days photographing Yellowstone’s breathtaking winter landscapes and wildlife.
Begin in Gardiner, Montana, exploring the wildlife-rich Northern Range, home to wolves, bison, and elk. Then move to West Yellowstone for four days aboard a private snowcoach, capturing iconic scenes at Old Faithful, Hayden Valley, and along the Yellowstone, Firehole, and Madison Rivers.

During this tour we have 5 days to immerse ourself in Yellowstone’s North Range. We’ll base our tour out of Gardiner Montana at the North Entrance near the famous Roosevelt Arch. Abundant wildlife that winter in the northern range will be our primary objective. Expect to see and photograph wolves, coyotes, elk, deer, bison, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, eagles, ravens and much more. We have 60 miles of road available for us to explore including the Famous Lamar Valley. Full days afield will go us many opportunities to capture amazing wildlife images. There is also dramatic landscape locations available and we will take advantage of great landscape conditions and lighting when available.

Day 1, Feb 7: Arrive in Bozeman, Montana. Due to winter flying conditions and possible delays it would be best to arrive a day early and overnight in Bozeman. Pickup at Bozeman airport at will be 12 to 1pm. We then take a beautiful drive to Gardiner Montana. This will be our base of operations for the next 4 days. We’ll see some magnificent scenery and perhaps some wildlife along the way. Once settled in we’ll enter the park for an afternoon photography session (Dinner)
Days 2-5, Feb 8-11: We spend the next 4 days exploring the wildlife rich “Northern Range” of the park along the 52 miles of road from Gardiner to Cooke City which includes the beautiful Lamar Valley a prime spot in the park for wolf watching. Our goal is for you to take home the very best photographs that conditions will allow. We’ll be leaving each morning early before sunrise and returning in the evening after sunset. Lunch will be at restaurants either in Cooke City or Mammoth.
Transfer to West Yellowstone in late afternoon of day 5
Day 6-9, Feb 11-15: We will spend 4 full days exploring the interior of the park via a chartered snow coach. We’ll likely spend exploring the Old Faithful area and along both the Madison and Firehole Rivers. We’ll also spend another day to Fishing Bridge exploring the Canyon area and the beautiful Hayden Valley. A box lunch will be provided on our snow coach days.
Day 10, Feb16: After breakfast we make our journey back to Bozeman. You will want to schedule your departure for home anytime after arrival in Bozeman which will be at approximately 11:00 am
