Instructional Tours
are high energy, instructional, nature photography tours with an emphasis on photographic and natural history instruction. Lorri and I feel that to become a truly outstanding nature photographer you must first have an understanding of the the natural world and the species you wish to photograph. We strive to give each participant as much photographic and natural history instruction as possible, maximizing your overall experience. Our goal is to improve your technical proficiency with the camera as well as refining your own special photographic vision. Our small group size assures you of individual attention during the tour.
These trips are designed by professional nature photographers for photography. Days in the field are typically spent like we would when on a photo assignment or out shooting stock for our files. Days are long, we head out early and stay out late to take advantage of the prime light. These tours are about making images and we strive to capture as many stunning images as possible.

Instructional Tours
is fully digital which enables us to have instant evaluation of metering, exposure, composition, fill flash technique, depth of field, etc. There is no better or more effective means for quickly mastering nature photography. We no longer have to wait weeks for our film to be returned and then try to remember what we did for a particular image, how we metered, what was the exposure, etc. We highly encourage participants to have digital capabilities, though not required. |
