Licensing Rights Managed Photographs

D. Robert & Lorri Franz licenses the right to use their photographic images. We provide prompt research and delivery, based on each client's request. Our prices are based on industry guidelines. Prices can vary based on the usage requested, the number of photos to be used, size and press run. Our Image Archive of over 6000 photos can be searched via our extensive database powered by Photoshelter. Image usage can be licensed online allowing photos to be purchased and downloaded instantly. Submissions can also be delivered in a lightbox, digital form by FTP, uploading from the Internet or shipped on either CD or DVD. Our files include digital captures from high-resolution Canon EOS series cameras, as well as film-based imagery in 35mm format originals. Images are saved and viewed on the website in the Adobe RGB colorspace which is optimized for print and publication Images may not look as vibrant or contrasty on your monitor. We can still deliver original 35mm transparencies from our 200,000 image library.

Overview

All of the photographs on this site are available for use in print, personal use, web, editorial, advertising and other applications. In the past 24 years I've published nearly ten thousand photographs and have been featured on several hundred magazine covers. My images published by hundreds of organizations, publishing companies and magazines. I've also worked with many well known conservation groups.

There are two options for licensing images:

Personal Use License

Electronic Personal Use licenses are appropriate for images you'd like for your personal use, which may include, but is not limited to, using the image for at-home printing, screensaver slideshows, wedding announcements, online personal profiles, etc. A Personal Use license prohibits the buyer from using the image for anything but strictly personal or limited educational use (e.g. school projects or single-classroom education

Rights-managed Licensing

You can obtain a price quote and pay to license one or more photographs at any time by clicking on the thumbnail of the photograph, and then on the following page (with the "big picture") click on "Buy Print/License." Choose your license type using the drop down menus, and complete your payment using any credit card via PayPal. Payment and delivery is automated, and you don't need to have a PayPal account. If you prefer you can contact me and we can discuss your licensing needs, and I can deliver the file(s) directly to you or provide a password for you to download full resolution images. Sales that are negotiated on a more traditional person to person basis can be paid for via invoice.
