Welcome to the home of D. Robert & Lorri Franz Nature & Wildlife Photography. For the last 20 years we have been traveling the world in pursuit of unique and beautiful images of wildlife and nature.

In 2004 we published nearly 650 photographs in 47 countries worldwide. Recently, two photographs, one of a darling red fox pup and the other a stunning great gray owl, were selected by Frontier Airlines to grace the tails of two of the newest aircraft in their fleet. Recently, the photo of a lynx from our files was on the cover of the prestigious Sierra Magazine. The winners of the annual 2004 Nature's Best Photography Awards competition have just been released and Robert was the winner of the Animal Antics category with the following picture "Blowing a Kiss." He also received "Highly Honored" in the Endangered Species category with the following photo "Perplexed Mom and Baby." Winning images are shown below.

In April of 2006 Robert competed in the inaugural “Images for Conservation Pro Tour on Nature Photography” event held in the hill country of Texas . This was a one month event in which 20 top professional nature photographers photographed on ranch they had never visited and had to amass an image portfolio to be scored by a panel of distinguished judges. The photographer with the highest total score won a large cash prize from the total purse of $160,000. With Lorri assisting they won 2 nd place.
